questions

Short answers. The rest is in the docs.

does payd ever hold the money?

Never. Each payment goes from your customer's wallet straight to a fresh address in yours. payd keeps only your wallet's public keys, which cannot spend a coin.

is there an ID check?

No. We never ask for ID or documents: you sign up with a shop name, an email and a password.

what does it cost?

payd takes no cut of any sale. Plans are a flat monthly price, starting with a free plan that never runs out, and differ only in how many invoices can be open at once. See the plans.

which coins can customers pay with?

BTC, ETH and LTC, and USDT and USDC on Ethereum, BNB Smart Chain or Tron. You can offer any you hold a wallet key for, and your customer picks on the invoice.

who pays the network fee?

Your customer, as the sender of any transfer does. All of what they send lands in your wallet; none of it goes to payd.

how long does a customer have to pay?

2 hours, at a rate held for 30 minutes. A payment that arrives later still lands in your wallet.

what if a customer pays too little, or too much?

Too little waits for your call: you can ask your customer for the rest, or accept what arrived. A shortfall inside the slippage you set in advance settles like an exact payment, and so does too much, with the extra in your wallet.

how does a refund work?

You send it from your own wallet: payd cannot move money in either direction. The API records it against the order.

can a shop use it without writing code?

Yes: create an order in your dashboard and send your customer its link. For a checkout that does it by itself, give your coding agent /llms.txt and it writes the integration.
